Who We Are
At Discovering You Support Services (DYSS), people are at the heart of everything we do.
We are a culturally inclusive disability support organisation, committed to creating a respectful and empowering environment where individuals are supported to live life on their own terms.
DYSS officially launched in February 2024, founded on the belief that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and supported with dignity.
Since our registration with the NDIS and Supply Nation in July 2025, we’ve strengthened our systems and deepened our impact — while staying true to our community roots and person-centred values.
Our NDIS registration marks a significant milestone in our mission to provide high-quality, person-centred care that aligns with the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
Our Story
Discovering You Support Services (DYSS) was founded with a clear purpose:
To see people first—beyond diagnoses and beyond systems—and to build a support environment that truly reflects the rich diversity of our community.
Our journey began when Angie, our Director of Discovering You Support Service, recognised that something vital was missing in traditional disability support—something more human, inclusive, and culturally responsive. With years of experience in the sector, she understood that meaningful support goes beyond services. It’s about people—individuals with stories, strengths, and identities shaped by culture, community, and lived experience.
DYSS was created from this understanding. From day one, we set out to be different: a safe, empowering, and inclusive space where both participants and staff feel seen, valued, and supported.
At the heart of DYSS is a strong and active commitment to cultural diversity. We believe no one should be left behind because of their culture, language, background, or identity. This principle guides the way we support individuals—and how we build our team.
The magnifying glass in our logo represents our promise to look beyond the surface—not just at support plans, but at the full potential of every person we work with. We take the time to understand each individual’s strengths, values, and goals. We don’t see people as just “participants”; we see individuals with the right to choose how they live—and the right to be supported in ways that respect that choice.
At DYSS, we listen. We learn. We tailor our supports to meet people where they are—not where a system expects them to be. And we walk beside them, every step of the way.
